Errantry Project!
Nov. 9th, 2007 07:33 pmOk, so I recorded myself reading "Errantry" by J.R.R. Tolkien for
kalquessa 's Errantry Project. So much fun! I didn't look up the pronunciation on any of the words (though I did listen to Tolkien's recording of the poem), so I very well may have unknowingly mispronounced some words.
Here is my first take. I was trying to read it as fast as possible, and well, let's just say it just didn't work out all that well...
Eight takes later, I got this. I read the whole thing in less than a minute and a half (if you don't count the intro/title). Booyah!
Then I tried reading it slower, at a more normal speed, in order to make it sound a little bit more like a poem and less like a train without brakes. On my third try, this was the result. Still not perfect, but it'll do!
Edit: Ok, this is totally embarrassing, but I added a version in an English accent...
