Favorite Books!
Apr. 21st, 2008 09:17 pmI recently applied to join
booklisters, a book discussion group. To apply, you have to list your favorite 15 books, then answer questions other people ask (these questions are mostly about the books you listed). Anyway, I thought I'd include the list here for fun! They're my top 15 books at this moment, since I often change my mind about which books are my favorite. I didn't include any author more than once, since it helped narrow the list down. Choosing my top 15 books is hard! Picking my favorite authors or series would have been easier (maybe I'll list those sometime later).
In alphabetical order:

In alphabetical order:
- The Bible
- Dealing with Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede
- The Fox by Sherwood Smith
- The Horse and His Boy by C.S. Lewis
- The King of Attolia by Megan Whalen Turner
- Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
- The Lost Prince by Frances Hodgson Burnett
- Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare
- The Princess Bride by William Goldman
- Rilla of Ingleside by L.M. Montgomery
- Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead by Tom Stoppard
- The Squire's Tale by Gerald Morris
- Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein
- The Wizard's Dilemma by Diane Duane
- Young Miles by Lois McMaster Bujold
I was actually quite surprised how many of these I chose in good deal for their humor! Less than half of them are chosen for that reason, but the number was still larger than I expected. I don't usually go looking for funny books, but apparently, when I find one that makes me laugh, it tends to become a favorite!
Anyway, what are your favorite 15 books (it doesn't matter if they're fiction, nonfiction, poetry, or whatever else)? And of course, you're free to ask me questions about my top 15 books if you'd like!
